The key responsibilities of a ICDS (Integrated Child Development Scheme) Supervisor includes :
• Visit and inspect assigned Anganwadi Centres.
• Check whether centres function regularly and maintaing all the rules
• Monitor the performance of Anganwadi Workers (AWWs) and Anganwadi Helpers (AWHs).
• Verify registers, records, food distribution
• Check the quality and quantity of food supplied.
• Ensure that pregnant women, lactating mothers and children receive appropriate health and nutrition information.
• Supervise Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) activities for children aged 3–6 years.
• Guide Anganwadi Workers in conducting play-based learning activities.
• Prepare monthly and annual work plans for the assigned area.
• Follow government instructions and maintain accountability in programme implementation.
